UM determines to become the leading teaching and research institution in Macau, and to be an important international university in the region. Its international staff, e-campus and teaching in Chinese, English and Portuguese makes UM unique. There are the Faculty of Business Administration, the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Faculty of Science and Technology, Center of Continuing Studies and Special Programs, and Center for Pre-University Studies. Its Library boasts the largest volume of United Nations documents in Southeast Asia. UM's internationalism is reflected by its curriculum and staff, some of who earned their PhDs from Stanford, UC Berkeley, Oxford University, University of Cambridge, University of Toronto, and Peking University. UM confers Doctorate, Master, Bachelor degrees and Diploma. Most Bachelor's degrees are accredited by Portugal and other EC countries. UM joins in several international associations, including AUAP, IAUP and IAU.
